Below is a selection of some of the interesting projects in which SAICE-PDP has been involved over the years.
National Municipal Support
In 2006/2007 some 57 engineers, 47 graduates and 102 students were deployed to 72 municipalities nationwide to address service delivery challenges.
Municipal Support in Gauteng
SAICE-PDP has contributed to skills development and the delivery of many major projects in municipalities in Gauteng.
Young Professionals Programme
As co-leaders in the DBSA Young Professionals Programme, SAICE-PDP pioneered the development of major public sector mentoring programmes.
Professionalisation in the Easern Cape
The need to professionalise various structures in the Eastern Cape was recognised in 2011. Once the model was formulated, SAICE-PDP was appointed to drive the many processes.
CETA Candidacy Phase Support Programme
SAICE-PDP was thrilled to be awarded funding on the first CETA Candidacy programme, launched in 2012.
LGSETA BTech Bursury Scheme
SAICE-PDP has been involved in the management of bursary programmes for many years.
Gauteng CoGTA Professionalisation Programme
In 2015, SAICE-PDP was appointed to assist experienced engineering employees in Gauteng municipalities to register with ECSA within a 12-month period.
LGSETA Candidate Support Programmes
In 2015, SAICE-PDP assisted LGSETA to get a candidacy programme off the ground for the range of built environment professionals required in local government and has continued with mentoring support to date.
National Treasury ISDG Support
In 2016, SAICE-PDP was appointed to develop a quality assurance framework for the Young Professionals programme being rolled out by National Treasury under the Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG).
