The Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) in partnership with SAICE Professional Development & Projects (SAICE-PDP), invites you to attend this 2-day course to help candidates understand the complexity and importance of design and operation of pressure pipelines and pump stations.​

Attend this course and learn about:

  • Selecting appropriate materials and fittings
  • Losses and water hammer
  • How to read and interpret pump duty curves
  • The construction process

The course is aimed at (but not limited to):

  • Staff working in the industry with very little experience or who are about to become involved in designing of pressure pipelines
  • Candidate engineers, technologists and technicians
  • Experienced personnel looking for a refresher in pressure pipeline and pump station design

CPD

This course is accredited with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) and carries two CPD credits.

Please note the following requirements for online courses:

  • Delegates are responsible to ensure that they have sufficient data to cover the full duration of the online course.
  • According to the ECSA requirements for online training, a compulsory assessment has to be completed online.
  • To receive a CPD certificate a 75% pass mark. Less than 75% will result in an attendance certificate which can be submitted for IPD.
